HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Nova!  This is a little late, but I hope it still makes you feel better!  I also hope you felt better regardless and was able to enjoy your birthday.  ^_^

Bulma and Vegeta were both really cute when they were teenagers, weren’t they?  Here they are in a High School AU.  16-year old Bulma has been getting in trouble for skipping school because she feels bored and unchallenged (which is actually canon in DB) regardless of the fact all of her classes are AP or college classes.  To make it worse, she doesn’t seem to be able to get along with her classmates.  To try to help challenge her and increase her social skills, one of her teachers assigns her to tutor a student a year ahead of her:  Vegeta!

Bulma has heard of this prick.  Her best friend Son Goku, who goes to another school, has developed a growing rivalry with him due to their sports teams competing against each other.  Bulma thinks this Vegeta must be a typical dumb jock due to his inflated ego, obsession with working out, and his low grade in physics.  However, as she begins tutoring him, she starts to suspect something is very strange about this boy.  He seems to know a lot more about physics than he puts on, and what’s more, he seems adamant that a lot of what’s written in their textbooks is wrong and the reason he’s failing is he refuses to cooperate with “Earth’s ignorance.”

Bulma decides to put his claims to the test and invites him to her father’s laboratory for some… experimentation (oh la la DOUBLE MEANING AHURR).  What will Bulma discover?  And what about Yamcha, who has been trying to catch her eye for the past year but has been too shy to ask her out?  FIND OUT NEXT TIME IN “MAGICAL ALIEN SUPER SCIENTIST ROMANCE QUARTERLY.”

I was just going to draw Piccolo, but his little buddy Gohan somehow wormed his way into the picture.   It’s also Son week in the Japanese fandom, so it fits!  I should start drawing some Sons before it’s over…

And THAT’S why Vegeta looks taller than Bulma in the new Battle of the Gods movie!  

Snowbia asked if I could do any Vegeta/Bulma-inspired art from the new movie (since Toriyama put more shipping in it even though he’s harsh on himself on his ability to do romance - THANK YOU TORIYAMA FOR GIVING US THIS!!!).  I saw a good portion of the movie thanks to someone who subtitled it into Spanish, but I didn’t want to give away any spoilers so I made it pretty vague and silly.  I also got some Copic markers for the first time, wanted to try them out, so…. this happened.  :’D

Vegeta is saying to Bulma, “Hahaha, behold the mighty height of the Prince of all Saiyans!  I am taller than you!  No more can you tease me for my short stature!  I’m taller!  I’m taller!  TALLER TALLER MUAHAHAHAHA TALLLEERRR!!!”

I thought, “I should be a little more serious and put more effort into all art I do, even the fanart.”  I did some face studies because I’ve been drawing anime style waaay too much and I’d like to improve my old style before I started drawing so much anime.

You can see how long my “serious” mood lasted.  (Scratch is ok.  Bulma saved him from being eaten.   (´∀｀)

I like how Son Goku’s hair came out like his hair in the anime/manga but how it’d look like in real life but it’s not weird! :D

Hahaha, thank you, Starkniss!  I know what you’re saying, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for Bulma to show off her vanity and aggressive temperament.

I’ve been getting a LOT of requests for more Vegeta/Bulma art.  I’m sorry for my current obsession of drawing Vegeta as weird as possible.  He’s definitely cuter in the next Vegebul pic I’m drawing, so I hope no one regrets asking for Vegebul art from someone as silly as me!

I drew these during downtime at an event.  I’ve been watching a LOT of Dragonball while I train for the next upcoming marathon and I apparently have the images of these characters burned into my retinas because I was REALLY surprised I was able to draw them decently accurate on model without sources.  I apparently pay attention to everything except shoes because I couldn’t for the life of me remember what baby Goku and Krillin’s shoes looked like.  Travis quickly corrected me, so I drew him a Goku!  Other people saw me drawing Goku, instantly recognized him and became happy at the sight of him, so I drew more Gokus for people!  Puu asked for the baby Vegeta from the flashbacks and she drew me adult Vegeta and Krillin friendship bonding over being short (my request of course lol).  ;v;  *so happy*

I totally faked you out on what I was gonna draw, right?  I saw that you like Vegito when you posted an image of him on your reblog account while saying, “lol you know who I want for my birthday?…” hee hee hee <333” so HAVE SOME BIRTHDAY BEEFCAKE!  I didn’t have the heart to draw his shirt on the bottom one.  :’D  Maybe some frisky ladies stole his clothes.

Sketches from a convo with Lindbloem while I’m watching Dragonball.  Everyone is so young, pubescent, and adorable!  Bulma wants to wish on a magic genie dragon for a “perfect boyfriend” and I’m all, “JUST YOU WAIT BULMA…”  Bulma ends up with the most UNperfect boyfriend!

Lindy:  ”Oh man, if you’re like WAIT TILL YOU SEE WHAT YOUR LIFE IS GONNA BE LIKE BULMA. Vegeta’s probably like VEGETA YOU’RE GONNA GET LAID AND MARRIED TO A WEIRDO”
